So, as I was busting my hump working on commissions and character designs for the next six weeks or so...I hit an artistic block. This had gone on for 4 days!! I was bummed because my juices stopped flowing and I am behind a week in my work.
To clear my head I went out to the art store to get some supplies and decided to buy some markers. I knew fooling around with a different media had the highest chance of snapping me out of my funk. I wanted to buy Copics, but they were too expensive for me at this time. I passed on Prisma too for the same reasons. Luckily, I saw some Tombo markers at a great price and I bought like 13.
After practicing with them on a few sketches I started to get the hang of it. I totally fell in love with them! So, I have decided that I was going to warm-up with marker sketches every work day by doing comic book characters I rarely....if EVER have drawn before.
Oh yeah this looks good Ray, for me markers can give out so much energy I prefer them over drawing with pencils actually. Cant wait to see more from you. Oh by the way I'm noticing the change in style its looking dope.

Daily Literature Deviations is a group that is dedicated to bringing literature to the forefront of the deviantArt community. We attempt to accomplish this by daily featuring Literature artists from around the community that deserve the recognition, but are not getting it.
Each day we will feature 5 deviations from the Literature categories in a News Article. In order to support the artists that we feature, we ask that you the news article as well as check out the individual pieces. We understand that each day you may not be able to check out each and every one of the pieces, everyone has their own things going on. We just ask that you make an attempt to help support the growing Literature community.
