Yes, I wanted Griffon to be a superhero-type character. It's the genre I love and I loved this design for it. Unfortunately, most publishers won't accept superhero titles/proposals because Marvel and DC have the genre locked. Well, I see myself as a superhero creator/penciler and it sorta pained me to have to 'tweak' Griffon so that it would more easily be accepted. In that..he lost a tad bit of his integrity..as well as some of my own as co-creator. Characters like Spidey, Batman, and Superman will endure the test of time and be here when I am dead and gone. All I want to do is create something as iconic as those characters and create a legacy of my own.

At any rate..

That looks great Ray, but seriously do publishers look down on Superhero titles? cause I've got one and I'd be really annoyed if I couldn't get it published...I may have to go to Devil's Due...but thanks for that heads up Ray (i'm sure you didn't mean to but it's a big help)

Image wouldn't accept this guy? Marvel and DC could be convinced, through hard work, to publish him (But at the cost of settting him in their universe). He looks awesome Ray. He really does. I'm so inspired, I gonna get off line and draw anything. Thanks. And it's :icon then add the name of the artist, monk-art:

Looking good... love the way his true wings aren't attached to him., but rather appear as if they are part of his spirit.
are the wings flames or not??? i can't really tell though
