When I get free moments I try to work on my coloring. I dig all kinds of coloring styles, but the style that really "WOW"'s me is the painted style that Arnold Tsang and :icondavid-grier: use. So, I got PainterX and looked up an Arnold Tsang's tutorial and then went to work on a Blue Devil pic I did a couple years back! Man, his tutorial was AWESOME! I think I am in love!

Needless to say, I took to it like a fish to water. This was my very first shot at it. From now on...I will be coloring in Painter...LOL

dude, not bad. did you use the watercolor brush? i'm way too locked into photoshop, so i can't use painter too well.

Thanks. I used both watercolor and oil paint brushes. Painter seems to be more my speed. Although, I did do the glowing eyes in Photoshop. :)

wow Blue Devil was one of my favorite characters back in the 80s. Can't wait to see this done.

I've been looking for the famed Painter-tutorial by Arnold Tsang, but I cannot find it...
Do you know where it is?


I like this look. Though I think you should practice with the glow-brush in painter instead of doing it with the PS tools. The Painter Glowbrush is REALLY alot better then any Photoshop tools for that purpose...


Sais the PS-freak who has difficulties with Painter... ;)
